Bhutan Airlines Reviews
When flying became mainstream, people gradually became more and more accustomed to flying to their destinations. I mean, why not? It’s faster, it’s more convenient, and although it is a bit pricey, flying actually helps you spend less on travel expenses. People love to travel to new and exotic nations. This includes Bhutan, a land with astounding topography dotted with fortresses, mountains, valleys, and countless wonders. In the past few years, the country’s tourism industry has increased. This means that more and more people are flying in and out of the country. This growth in tourism is supported by Bhutan Airlines, one of the largest airlines in the nation. While it is not Bhutan’s flag carrier, Bhutan Airlines still plays a pivotal role in flying travelers into and out of the country.
In today’s article, we will take a look at Bhutan Airlines reviews to see how the passengers felt while flying with the airline.
Origins and ownership
Bhutan Airlines was founded in the December 4, 2011 under the name of Tashi Air. On December 18, 2011, the airline then began offering flights domestic destinations in Yonphula and Bathpalathang. However, after operating for six months, Tashi Air discontinued their flights.
By October 10, 2013, the carrier resumed operations under the new name of Bhutan Airlines. The newly renamed airline offered international flights to Kolkata, India and Bangkok, Thailand. By October 2014, Bhutan Airlines had been required by the Government of Bhutan to offer domestic flights once again.
What people are saying
There are very few Bhutan Airlines reviews that can be found online. On Skytrax, for example, I only found three reviews, two of which gave a perfect 10 out of 10 rating while the other one was a 5 out of 10. The two passengers who gave the perfect 10 ratings both mentioned the world-class inflight amenities such as high-quality food and beverages, a comfortable seat, sufficient legroom, and admirable punctuality. However, what made them stand out, according to the reviewers, were the kind demeanor of the flight attendants. “The performance of the crew was truly world-class”, said one of them.
Surprisingly, the person who gave a barely-passing rating of 5 out of 5 was still pretty impressed with the airline. The person also acknowledged the seat quality, legroom, punctuality, and onboard service of the airline.
It uses mostly yellow and orange colors, which can be a bit too jarring when you look at it for too long.
Functionality-wise, though, the website is pretty decent and responsive with only a minimal amount of lag.

Although the carrier is relatively new and seemingly inexperienced, the Bhutan Airlines reviews I found online proves otherwise. With great inflight services coupled with a very friendly crew, this airline is bound for success.
