Origins and ownership
The airline was founded in May 31, 1945 by Lebanese politician and previous Prime Minister, Saeb Salam. By first of January 1946, the airline began its operations with flights between Nicosia and Beirut using de Havilland DH.89A Dragon Rapide aircraft.
