Nok Air Reviews
Aircraft, specifically airplanes, are often compared to birds in appearance and in their ability to take flight. In Thailand, a low-cost took this to another level by naming their airline after the animal. Literally.
Nok Air is an airline from Thailand that offers budget flights for travelers. Their fleet are characterized the yellow, smiling bird bill painted on the aircraft’s nose. When you look at it, it really looks like a giant bird! The term “Nok” means “bird” in thai.
If you’re in Thailand or if you plan on flying there soon, then come take a look at these latest Nok Air reviews, all written by their previous passengers!
Origins and ownership
Before anything else, let’s take a quick look at Nok Air’s history. The airline’s roots can be traced back in February 10, 2004 when the airline — then named Sky Asia Co.,Ltd — was established. The airline commenced domestic operations on July 2004. In May 31, 2007, Nok Air began offering international flights with their first route to Bangalore, India.
The Chief Executive Officer of Nok Air since 2004 has been Mr. Patee Sarasin. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Clark University and Master’s Degree from the American University.
What people are saying
For a low-cost carrier, the Nok Air reviews I found online were surprisingly positive. First, looking at SkyTrax’s website, you will find that most of the reviews are written by passengers who mainly had good things to say. The staff service, value for money, and seat comfort are its strongest assets, according to passengers.
TripAdvisor reviews are also positive. It earned a 4 out of 5 rating from the website. Here are some of the reviews:
“Very impressed with Nok Air which operates from Bangkok Don Mueang. Check in was quick, they were much more relaxed about a few extra kilos and an extra carry on than European low cost airlines.”
“Hanoi to Bangkok with Nok Air. Excellent service from start to finish. Clean, professional, even loaded the plane from the rear to the front, so you are not waiting for the people up front to get to your seat.”
The yellow website
The website mainly allows users to search and book flights online, as well as check flight statuses, view the flight schedules, manage their existing bookings, seat selections, and web check-ins.
