Minnesota-based Sun Country Airlines, established in 1982 and hubbed at Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport, is an American airline that offers scheduled flights to around 35 destinations in seven countries, as well as ad hoc and chartered flights.

Sun Country was established in June 1982 with a staff that originally comprised of one office individual, sixteen pilots, sixteen cabin crew, and three mechanics. Moderate and steady development through the 1980s made unfaltering benefits for the organization.
Unfortunately, a significant part of the 1990s were an extreme period for Sun Country, as a maturing and over-worked armada combined with record flight requests tested the company’s capabilities.
The airline eventually fell into bankruptcy and nearly lost all their fleet. Several months later, a financial investor group called MN Airlines, LLC bought the remaining resources and restarted the carrier.
The chief executive officer of Sun Country since September 2015 has been Zarir Erani. Mr. Erani prides himself as an all-encompassing official pioneer with an attention on advertising, commerce, and airline operations. Prior to joining the airline, he held the role of Vice President – Chief Information Officer for Hallmark Business Connections.

As for Sun Country reviews, the airline has garnered both praise and criticisms. Eric P., a self-proclaimed frequent flyer of Sun Country stated that “this airline gets 3 stars because it is nothing special. It isn’t trying to be anything above and beyond, either. It is what it is.”
According to him, Sun Country isn’t an exceptional airline and that passengers, especially those flying in Economy, should not expect highly personalized services.
On a more positive note, a significant number of passengers praised the airline crew for being attentive and as kind as flight attendants go.
The blue website
Set in a navy blue/dark indigo background with some splashes of orange-colored logos, buttons, and text, the website itself is pretty simple. At the page’s upper portion, you will see six tabs: Book Travel, Manage Travel, Deals, Destinations, and UFly Rewards.
On the homepage, you will find the flight search form. Simply fill up all the necessary information and click the blue “Flights” button to proceed, or you may click the “Flight + Hotel” button if you need any accommodation services for your destination. The form itself has three other tabs: Vacations which you can use to search for holiday packages, the flight status checking tab, and the online Check-In tab.

Each of their fleet is configured to offer First Class and Economy/Coach Class flights. Those flying in First Class may enjoy the complimentary in-flight entertainment system via the Sun Country Digital Entertainment Device. The personal touch screen is loaded with movies and TV shows for all ages. Economy/Coach Class passengers may rent the device for $8 – $12.
In-flight meals and snacks offer sandwiches, cheeseburgers, chips, candies, healthy snack bars, wine, beer and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Based from the Sun Country reviews I have found online, the airline’s services range from average to slightly above-average. It isn’t an exceptional airline, and it doesn’t try to be. However, it does perform its job pretty well, bringing travelers to their destinations safely and on time.
